Tony is the managing director and founder of PiTek. Prior to starting PiTek in 2016, he began his career as an Electrician and since 1988 has held sales, senior management and director roles within successful small and large businesses servicing the physical layer and data centre infrastructure markets.
Tony has spent many years working with and on behalf of BICSI and Standards Australia to help promote the education and evolution of data centre efficient cooling, power and physical infrastructure and is experienced with all levels of technical, commercial and sales roles in supporting these technologies. He has been actively involved in Australian standards development for many years and plays a key role in the design, supply and implementation of the products and projects that PiTek deliver to the Australian market.
Tony actively stays abreast of current and future technologies and is a passionate promotor of efficient solutions that help manage the space, cost and power usage within data centres, commercial buildings and mission critical facilities.
Joe is one of the founding employees of PiTek and plays a senior role within the business. He started his working life as an electrician, working for some of Australia’s leading electrical contractors. This gave him invaluable hands on experience which he has been able to use throughout his career.
Since 1994, Joe has worked in various sales, product and business management roles, working for some of Australia’s key distributors within the physical infrastructure space including allNET Technologies, Anixter, Network Connect Australia and JCS Technologies before starting with PiTek in 2016. Joe has worked within the supply chain for many years and has been involved with a host of major projects offering physical layer and data centre infrastructure products to some of Australia’s largest companies.
His experience offers a rare combination of product, supply chain and installation knowledge which helps PiTek deliver projects on time and within budget.
Rob is one of the founding employees of PiTek and plays a pivotal role in the growth and development of the business. After successfully completing a BA (Hons) in Business Law, Rob started his career as a technical sales engineer in the UK. This role gave Rob hands on experience at the engineering and sales ‘cold face’; particularly within the 19” rack industry.
Rob moved to Australia in 2005 to undertake a national sales management role. This allowed him to utilise his engineering sales skills and has since been involved in successfully delivering large scale projects for a number of the large data centre infrastructure providers in Australia.
Rob spends most of his time working with consultants, end users, architects and project managers in helping to deliver high quality, efficient solutions into the data centre and mission critical markets that PiTek serves. Rob also holds a CDCS (Certified Data Centre Specialist) qualification.
